We recently communicated with our customers regarding the end of life of legacy Panasonic phone systems and BT’s shutdown of ISDN, asking them to plan for the move to a cloud hosted phone system now.

Brightest move Estate Agents
With two sites running with Panasonic systems and utilising ISDN lines the company recognised that they would be forced to upgrade in the near future. They decided to upgrade now as the Panasonics were old and not flexible enough for operating efficiently in a market where customer service and communication is key. As a minimum need they required each site to be able to overflow calls to each other if the teams were busy.
We rolled out 8×8 cloud hosted to both sites with handsets and this was fully programmed to give them complete flexibility across the branches including extension to extension calling.
MAC Surfacing’s core reason for change was that during lockdown all users were working from home and their legacy phone system not reliable enough. We migrated 20 users to 8×8 Cloud, which also gave them the added features of analytics and call recording to their customer service.
All users are now using the 8×8 mobile application with no users using a desk phone anymore. This is allowing them to continue to work as if they are in the office from any environment.
With a legacy phone system with ISDN, they wanted more flexibility in how users can work and the flexibility of programming the system remotely.
We have rolled out an 8×8 cloud solution to 42 users, giving the additional flexibility they sought, all with handsets.
This upgrade has been rolled out remotely so our engineers have not had to visit site and the customer has self-installed their handsets to minimise Covid risks.
Using a legacy phone system with ISDN across three branches in Tewkesbury, Worcester & Chipping Norton, and networked via their existing internet connectivity, WHC Hire were looking at options because of ISDN ceasing. We rolled out 8×8 cloud hosted telephony to all of the branches which has reduced their overall costs per month and made communicating between the branches simpler and more efficient.
